I’m often amazed when a reader is so sure of themselves that they take shots at facts and make attempts at undermining the story.

Being located in the country and working with each of these operators provides us insight into the telecoms market that isn’t always public knowledge.
Allow me to address each of your comments:

First, thank you for pointing out the mistake we made in the cost of the bidding license. We have now corrected this error.

Second, iMobile is a phone shop. It is also a limited coverage mobile service offered in parts of Thailand, 7 province to be exact. At an iMobile shop, you may also purchase an iMobile SIM chip for your phone but without the coverage offered by the big operators. (http://www.i-mobilephone.com/) They also offer a 3G based data service on a trial basis which is called 3GX.

Third, we are aware of the 3G services that True is offering in Thailand on a trial basis and they have been since the end of 2008. Thank you for the further clarification.

However, there are no 3G licenses awarded, so Thai operators are only allowed to offer services on a trial basis. As such, we did not feel it appropriate to make announcements of service availability as these trial services may be discontinued at any time and without warning.

We urge you to also do a little bit of research on Thailand and news relating to the telecommunications industry here. As with many things here, it is not always clear what is happening and requires some first hand experience and testing within the country as well as discussions with staff and other users of services.

28% fee increase to 12.8 million Thai Baht ($384 million) over the original 10 million Thai Baht stated in previous proposals.

The operators offering limited 3G service are AIS, DTAC and iMobile. Rumors have sprouted that True may also have a 3G test bed launched but as of this writing it was difficult to confirm.

What in the world do you think you’re talking about??? iMobile is a phone shop.

Difficult to confirm? are you kidding me??? True offers 3G in all of Bangkok and surrounding areas since 2008!!!! It also offers in Pattaya, Phuket and Hua Hin. In fact, True offers more 3G trial services than AIS and DTAC.

This is true. Not just google, you can appear on 1 page of live search engine and many others. Most of the search engine gives functionality of pulling latest content and that too from particularly from site like Twitter.
