Ah, I understand.

Well, this site uses the All In One SEO Pack, so I haven’t taken too much notice of the themes additional features for that. The designer has gone as far as using the Post Excerpt field extensively, which provides an additional means for keyword populating your post with out detracting from the message of the actual post.

The theme does actually add a custom field for Title as well with the name of the post. But other than that I do not see anything specific to SEO within the code of this free version.

The premium version of this theme DOES have SEO optimization features. The two versions are compared here.

Some themes that are SEO optimised offer you the ability to enter some basic META tags for each post – description and keywords, usually, although some offer titles as well, rather than just taking your post title.

This is the same functionality that you get from the All-in-one-SEO-pack plugin but avoids the need to install and run the plugin itself.

Just wondering how far down that track the designer of this theme has gone…

The theme utilizes all of the features of WordPress and we have plug-ins installed to improve this.
